We’ve come a long way since that first reunion. Last year’s event drew nearly 300 brothers, guests, and actives for a celebration that redefined what our alumni weekend could be. Now, the bar is set!
Registration for the 2025 Annual Event is officially open.
Mark your calendars for Friday, Sept. 5 through Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025, as we return to State College for a full weekend of connection, camaraderie, and celebration. This fall, we’ll recognize our active chapter’s recent growth, present annual scholarship awards, and continue building the bond between our past and future. Whether you joined Phi Delt in 1965 or 2025, you’ll feel right at home here.
Penn State takes on FIU at Beaver Stadium, but that’s just one part of the lineup. You’ll have opportunities to catch up with classmates, meet the new generation of brothers, and contribute to the momentum that’s redefining Pennsylvania Theta.
We’ve made changes based on your feedback, including more casual meetups and structured space to reconnect. Some events are complimentary, others are pay-as-you-go, but the whole weekend is designed to be worth the trip.
Here’s what’s on deck:
Thursday, Sept. 4
Optional early arrival and hotel stay for golfers at a reduced rate
Friday, Sept. 5
12–6 p.m. – Second Annual Stan Zenda Memorial Golf Tournament, supporting the family of Sean Mitchell ’09
6:30–10:30 p.m. – Informal gathering at The View Restaurant & Bar, Wyndham Garden Inn (bar service not complimentary)
Saturday, Sept. 6
7–8 a.m. – Annual members-only meeting with updates from the alumni board and active chapter. Buses to tailgate will leave promptly within 30 minutes of the conclusion of the meeting
~9 a.m. – Our tailgate kicks off behind the Katz Building, just like last year, as soon as the buses arrive. Then, Penn State takes on FIU at noon (limited football tickets available for $55 each)
6:30 p.m. – Banquet dinner honoring active chapter accomplishments and scholarship recipients (complimentary beer/wine; cash bar for liquor)
Sunday, Sept. 7
Time TBD – Alumni Association Board of Directors meeting (board members only)
There’s a lot to be proud of at Pennsylvania Theta right now. Our new generation of Phi’s has grown beyond 100 members, taken on leadership roles across campus, and earned recognition at the highest levels. We’re back and thriving!
