If you bleed blue and white, and if Phi Delta Theta helped shape your journey at Penn State, mark your calendar for Saturday, July 26, 7–9:30 p.m., when an impressive group of Nittany Lion greats will gather at the Nittany Lion Inn in State College for the Penn State Adaptive Athletics Fundraiser. It promises to be a night to remember.
The fundraiser supports scholarships for Penn State Adaptive Athletics, an initiative that empowers student-athletes who refuse to be defined by physical limitations. It also serves as a celebration of Penn State’s spirit and its strength of community. On top of that, it’s a rare opportunity to connect with some of Pennsylvania Theta’s most legendary names. Confirmed Phi Delt guest speakers include Chuck Burkhart ’70, Moose Koegel ’70, and Steve Smear ’70. Jack Ham ’71 has also been invited and is hoping to attend, pending availability.
Other alumni who’ve already RSVPed include Sandy Deveney ’70, Chuck Sypula ’68, Navy Captain Ryan “Joe” McCombie ’70, and Jim McManus ’68. There’s still time to join your brothers in supporting a good cause. Tickets are $100, and the evening will feature keynote remarks from Men’s Hockey Coach and 2024–2025 ECH Coach of the Year Guy Gadowsky, plus a musical performance by Grammy Award-winner Mike Reid ’69. The full lineup includes PSU icons like Lydell Mitchell, Sue Paterno, and Dana Harris.
