We are saddened to share the passing of Brother Geoffrey Stilley ’70, who entered the Chapter Grand on Aug. 23, 2025, at the age of 76, surrounded by his family.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pa, Geoff was initiated into the Pennsylvania Theta Chapter of Phi Delta Theta in November 1967 and graduated from Penn State in 1970.
Upon graduating from Penn State, he answered the call to serve his country as a naval aviator in the US Navy. Following his military service, Brother Stilley earned a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Maryland and spent decades in federal technology sales in the Washington, D.C. area. He spent the latter part of his life in Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens in Florida.
According to his obituary, Geoff “faced life with resilience and was surrounded by many loyal friends who valued his humor and vibrant spirit. He also had a deep love for animals of all kinds, and caring for them brought him great joy.”
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, September 26, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Tequesta, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Geoffrey’s memory to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (https://dogood.t2t.org/give/320847/) or South Florida Mutt Rescue (https://www.sfmuttrescue.org/donate).
